Which service fits you?
SOG Agribusiness is the flagship subsidiary of S.O.G. Conglomerate. We offer two distinct services, each charged through a service fee agreed in writing.
Service A
Managed agricultural projects
Choose this if: you have capital available and want to support agricultural production carried out by farmers, without running the operation yourself.
Service B
Agricultural venture setup
Choose this if: you want to own and establish your own agricultural business, and need a team to plan, build and hand it over to you.
Service A
Managed agricultural projects
Many farmers have the land and skills to grow more but lack the capital to do it. Many people have capital but not the time or expertise to put it to work in agriculture. SOG Agribusiness connects the two and manages the process in between.
You, the capital provider
Review the project information, risks, fees and terms, and decide whether to take part. Receive progress reports throughout the project.
SOG Agribusiness
Identifies and assesses projects, documents the arrangement, oversees operations and expenditure, and reports to you. Charges a disclosed service fee.
The farmer
Carries out the agricultural work according to an agreed plan and budget, and provides access and information for monitoring.
The process, step by step
- Project identification and assessment. A farm project is identified and assessed, including a review of the farmer, site and proposed activity.
- Feasibility review. We examine feasibility, operational requirements, budget, risks and the expected production cycle.
- Selection. Eligible projects are selected for consideration. Projects that do not meet our criteria are not presented.
- Project information. Interested clients receive project information, including budgets, timelines, proposed capital requirements, fees, risks and applicable terms.
- Agreement and deployment of funds. Funds are accepted and deployed only through an approved, documented process that is legally permitted, under a signed agreement.
- Monitoring. Agricultural operations are monitored throughout the agreed project lifecycle.
- Reporting. Milestones, expenditure, operational developments and material risks are documented and communicated to clients.
- Completion and distribution. Once the project is completed and its financial position established, any distributions are calculated and paid according to the signed agreement and applicable law.
What this service is — and is not. SOG Agribusiness provides a project-management service for a fee. We do not guarantee returns, repayment or the protection of capital, and this website does not offer, sell or accept any investment. Information about specific projects is provided on request and any participation is subject to a signed written agreement, applicable law and the outcome of our assessment.
How we select and monitor projects
What we look at before selecting a project
- Technical feasibility of the crop or livestock activity at the site
- The farmer’s experience, capacity and track record
- Operational requirements: land, water, inputs, labour and equipment
- A realistic budget and production cycle
- Access to buyers and markets for the output
- The main risks and how they can be reduced
How projects are followed
- Site visits by our team during the production cycle
- Milestone tracking against the agreed project plan
- Records of expenditure against the approved budget
- Photographic documentation of field conditions
- Early escalation of material issues to clients
Client reporting
Clients receive written progress updates throughout their project. Each update is designed to answer three questions: what has happened, what has been spent, and what could affect the outcome. The reporting format and frequency are set out in each client agreement.
- Milestones reached and next steps
- Expenditure compared with budget
- Field observations and photographs
- Material risks and issues
- Updated timeline expectations
Service B
Agricultural venture setup
For clients who have funds and want to establish their own agricultural business, but lack the time, expertise, personnel or local capacity to set it up. We coordinate the process from your first consultation to the handover of a working operation, with the scope, budget and fee agreed in writing.
- Consultation, feasibility and site assessment
- Planning, budget and timeline
- Procurement, infrastructure and staffing
- Production setup, monitoring and reporting
- Readiness review and handover

Agricultural risks and limitations
Agriculture is exposed to forces no one can fully control. Good management reduces risk; it cannot remove it.
Weather and climate
Irregular rainfall, drought, flooding and storms can reduce yields or destroy crops.
Pests and disease
Crop pests, plant diseases and fish or animal diseases can cause significant losses.
Market prices
Selling prices and input costs change, and may differ from those assumed in a budget.
Logistics
Road conditions, transport, storage and processing capacity can delay sales or cause spoilage.
Operations
Labour availability, equipment failure, theft and human error can affect performance.
Legal and currency
Changes in regulation, land matters and, for international clients, exchange rates can affect outcomes.
Any of these factors can delay a project, reduce its output or result in a loss. Read the full Agricultural Project Risk Disclosure.
Our service fees
SOG Agribusiness earns a service fee for managing agricultural projects and for coordinating agricultural venture setup. Because every project differs in size, complexity, budget and scope, we do not publish a fixed price list.
- The basis on which fees are calculated is explained before you commit.
- All fees are set out in your written agreement.
- An initial conversation about your project is free of obligation.

How do managed agricultural projects work?
SOG Agribusiness connects clients who have capital available with farmers who need capital to carry out agricultural projects. We identify and assess projects, share project information with interested clients, and — where an engagement goes ahead under a signed agreement — monitor operations and report on progress throughout the project. When a project is completed and its financial position is established, any distributions are calculated according to the signed agreement and applicable law.
How will I know how a project is progressing?
Clients receive progress updates covering milestones, expenditure, operational developments and any material risks. The format and frequency of reporting are set out in each client agreement.
How does SOG Agribusiness charge for its services?
We charge a service fee for managing projects and for coordinating agricultural venture setup. Fees depend on the size, complexity, budget and scope of the work, and are set out in writing before any agreement is signed. We do not publish a fixed price list because every project is different.
How are projects selected?
Projects are reviewed for feasibility, operational requirements, budget, risks and the expected production cycle before they are considered. Only projects that pass this review are presented to clients, and selection is never a guarantee of success.
Are returns guaranteed?
No. Agricultural projects carry real risks — including weather, pests, disease, market prices and logistics — and results can be lower than expected or negative. We do not promise or guarantee any return, repayment or protection of capital.
Can I invest or send money through this website?
No. This website does not accept funds, investment commitments or payments of any kind. It provides information about our services and lets you contact our team. Any engagement would only take place through a documented process and a signed written agreement, in line with applicable law.
How are projects monitored?
Our team follows each project through its agreed lifecycle, documenting milestones, expenditure and field conditions, and raising issues with clients when they arise. The specific monitoring arrangements for a project are described in its project information and agreement.
Will I sign a contract?
Yes. No service begins without a signed written agreement that defines the scope, responsibilities, fees, reporting, risks and other applicable terms.
